Privacy Policy

We're Laura, Jenn and Stacey, the family behind Canby Pioneer Chapel at 508 NW 3rd Avenue, Canby, Oregon 97013. We only collect what we need to answer your questions, plan your event or sell you a ticket, and we never sell your information.

This policy covers our website (canbypioneerchapel.com), our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest pages, our inquiry forms, ticket sales, and any email, text or phone conversations you have with us.

Effective date: October 8, 2026

What we collect

What you give us:

  • Your name, email and phone number

  • Details about your event, like the date, the number of guests and what you're planning

  • Anything you tell us in a message, comment, form or conversation

  • Billing details when you pay a deposit, an invoice or for a ticket. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, so we never see or store your full card number.

What gets collected automatically:

  • When you visit our website, our website platform and its tools may collect basic information like your browser type, device, pages viewed and general location. This is mostly done through cookies.

  • When you interact with our social pages, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest may share general, non-identifying page insights with us, like how many people saw a post.

How we use it

  • To answer your questions and get back to you

  • To plan and run your event, and to send you proposals, contracts and invoices

  • To sell you tickets and let you know if anything about the show changes

  • To send you news about upcoming events, but only if you've signed up. You can unsubscribe anytime.

  • To keep our records, meet legal and tax requirements, and keep the chapel safe

We don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services that help us run the chapel, and only what they need to do their part:

  • Our website platform (Squarespace) and our ticketing service

  • Our booking, contract and invoicing software

  • Our payment processor

  • Our email and calendar provider

  • Vendors or staff working your event, like a bartender or security, when they need your details to do their job

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests, our family or the chapel.

Social media

When you follow, subscribe to, comment on, message, save or tag us on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Pinterest, those platforms collect and handle your information under their own privacy policies, not ours. We can see whatever you share with us there, like your profile name, comments and messages.

If you send us event details or contact information in a message, we'll use it only to help you. We may copy it into our own booking records so we can follow up.

Photos at events

We sometimes take photos and video at public events, like concerts and community nights, and share them on our website and social pages. If you'd rather not be in them, just tell us at the event or message us afterward, and we'll take the photo down.

We won't post photos from private events, like weddings or celebrations of life, without the host's permission.

Keeping it safe

We keep your information in secure, password-protected accounts that only our family can get into. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

We keep your information as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. After that, we delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us anytime to:

  • See the information we have about you

  • Correct anything that's wrong

  • Delete your information, unless we need to keep it for legal or tax reasons

  • Stop sending you emails or texts

Just email or call us using the details below, and we'll take care of it. You can also turn off cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of our website may not work as well.

Children

Our website and social pages are meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has shared information with us, let us know and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
